Originally Published March 30, 2022  Donna Kaz is a multigenre writer, director/choreographer and activist who once had a very loving and very violent relationship with the actor William Hurt. She bravely and openly shares her story and has important advice for anyone in an abusive relationship. Find your Community. She regularly blogs about feminism, art and the invisibility of the aging.

About Donna Kaz: Donna is the author of UN/MASKED, Memoirs of a Guerrilla Girl On Tour and PUSH/PUSHBACK, 9 Steps to Make a Difference with Activism and Art (because the world’s gone bananas). I write plays, poetry, essays and musicals about the connection between humans and the natural world. The Kaz Conference Writing Workshop was started in 2016 as a way for me to connect writers via small cohorts meeting weekly on zoom or during three day intensive, in-person weekends. I also direct, choreograph, speak, and make art with words, movement and music.
